We’re proud that our London office fit out for SilverDoor has been shortlisted for Project of the Year - Workplace Interiors 5,000–15,000sq ft at the Mixology Awards 2025.

The Mixology Awards, hosted by Mix Interiors, celebrate excellence in commercial interior design across the UK. Recognised for their focus on creativity, execution and impact, the awards honour outstanding projects, products and people shaping the workplace, hospitality and living sectors. Now in their 20th year, the Mixology Awards have become a benchmark of quality and innovation within the built environment community.

This recognition reflects a clearly defined and carefully delivered brief, shaped by SilverDoor’s ambitions as a global serviced apartment specialist. The outcome is a hospitality-inspired workplace thatbrings together people, purpose and performance within a cohesive and strategically aligned space.

Rooted in culture, designed for connection

SilverDoor’s new headquarters replaces a multi-floor setup with a single connected space. This shift improves visibility, team proximity and client experience, delivering a workplace that feels coherent, accessible and welcoming. The layout was shaped with behavioural insight in mind, as teams needed a place where professional and social interaction could happen naturally, and where the company’s hospitality ethos could be embedded in the design.

Key features support both day-to-day operations andlong-term adaptability. These include a concierge-style welcome area, hybrid-enabled meeting rooms, a dedicated media studio and tech-integrated client zones.

At the heart of the scheme is The Den: a social hub designed to reflect SilverDoor’s belief that human connection supports better work. Itincludes casual seating, café-style booths and shared areas that encourage informal conversation. Placement and zoning keep The Den close to operational teams while supporting moments of retreat.

Visual and material continuity between sites was also a key objective. Design elements reference the Chiswick HQ, using palette, textures and form to create a unified identity. A signature totem structure at theentrance echoes the Chiswick scheme, providing continuity without replication.

Designed to last, built responsibly

Longevity and resource efficiency were prioritised from the outset as around 40% of existing furniture, glazing and doors were retained and repurposed, reducing waste and preserving value.

Mechanical and electrical systems were optimised for energy performance. Digital controls manage lighting and temperature intelligently, reducing unnecessary use during evenings and weekends. Meeting rooms are fully AV-enabled, supporting hybrid collaboration without retrofitting.

The layout itself is designed for flexibility with modularpartitioning and reconfigurable zones allow for future change with minimal disruption or material excess. As SilverDoor continues to grow, the workplace can evolve with them, sustainably and economically.

Supporting performance and brand experience

SilverDoor’s workplace now reflects its brand identity andinternal rhythm. Teams have access to a range of settings designed around real behaviours, not generic functions. From daily stand-ups to deep focus, everyactivity has a purpose-built setting.

The space supports hybrid working without compromise, and zones are acoustically treated to allow parallel activities, from video calls toclient meetings, without conflict.

Team feedback since move-in confirms the value of thechanges. There is greater cohesion across teams, clearer spatial logic and improved use of shared areas. The Den has become a key location for informal meetings, project huddles and everyday connection.

This is workplace design shaped by hospitality values and operational purpose. SilverDoor now has an environment that supports itspeople, strengthens client experience and reinforces its brand. The space enables better work by aligning functionality, flexibility and identity.
