TSK SELECTED FOR MEDIACITYUK FIT-OUT

TSK has been selected by BBC North to provide sustainably-made workstations for its three new buildings at MediaCityUK.

This follows an intensive and rigorous procurement process where sustainability was one of the key criteria together with ensuring value for money.

TSK will supply over 2,000 workstations for BBC Radio 5 live, BBC Children’s and BBC Sport as well as existing BBC Manchester staff who will begin to migrate to Peel’s landmark development from May 2011.

Each workstation is made from a high composition of recyclable materials and TSK will source the workstations through its primary furniture partner Herman Miller.

Andy Burke, a director at TSK, said: “In any office relocation, the sustainability of the new fit-out is a key contributor to the overall performance of a building, and we’re supporting the BBC in achieving key objectives through our partnership with Herman Miller.

“MediaCityUK is the most significant new development in the North West, and the BBC has continued to show its commitment to invest in regionally-based businesses such as our own while helping to create its new home.”
