TSK has been awarded a contract to design and deliver new working environments for Cheshire East Council over the next three years. The Council, which was formed when Cheshire was divided into two separate councils during the Government's reorganisation of local councils, have assigned TSK to create modern open plan spaces designed to support and enhance flexible working styles.
In the first year of the three year contract, projects include a new 20,000 sq ft environment at Crewe Business Park, which is due for completion at the end of September, and the refurbishment of 30,000 sq ft of other Council premises in Crewe and Sandbach.
Part of TSK's brief is to create environments which provide Cheshire East Council's staff with a range of working environments to suit their changing requirements over a typical working day. Staff at the council will be encouraged to work in the most efficient and effective manner in whichever of the Council's network of offices.
In order to achieve and facilitate these efficiencies there will be the introduction of flexible working and electronic document management systems which will help to reduce the amount of expensive office space taken up by the organisation. It is expected that the new workplaces will support and facilitate new and innovative ways to deliver efficient and effective customer focused services, and help the Council achieve its operational goals.
Andrew Burns, Joint managing Director at TSK commented, "This is a significant project success for TSK, underpinning our expertise in assisting public sector organisations not only to deliver on operational efficiency, but most importantly making sure the new working environments support the workstyles of the organisation."
