Project Brief
As one of the University's dedicated learning and resource facilities the space will be used by an increasing number of students over the coming years, so it's facilities had to be developed and improved to support this. The Adsetts Centre was extended and reorganised with a particular focus on anticipating future learning styles and needs. Therefore, they wanted the interior of the building to be especially innovative, stimulating and creative. The environment created was based around the 4 seasons, with each zone being distinguished by choice of decor and different types of furniture. An important aspect of the design was to utilise furniture that is 'freestanding' in order to provide complete flexibility for the future as zones can be reconfigured as and when required.
